Welcome to the DuPage County Corridor Planning Studies website! While most of the land within DuPage County lies within municipal boundaries, significant unincorporated areas remain. The focus of this project will be to create an land use plan for those unincorporated areas surrounding Roosevelt Road (from I-355 east to the County line) and Lake Street (from the Elgin-O’Hare Expressway east to I-355). Check out the links above to view corridor specific planning documents, links, and resources — and be sure to add your ideas using the corridor Comment Maps.


PROJECT NEWS

May 21, 2014: The approved versions of the Corridor Planning Studies are available for Lake Street and Roosevelt Road. To review all past interim documents, please visit the Lake Street Corridor Documents Page and the Roosevelt Road Corridor Documents Page.

January 8, 2014: The complete final drafts of the Corridor Planning Studies are available for Lake Street and Roosevelt Road. These studies will be reviewed by the DuPage County Development Committee on January 21st. To review all past interim documents, please visit the Lake Street Corridor Documents Page and the Roosevelt Road Corridor Documents Page.

September 11, 2013: A public open house is scheduled for the Roosevelt Road Corridor on September 25th at 6:00 pm at Elmhurst City Hall (209 N. York Street, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126). Drop by the open house to review and provide feedback on the draft County Land Use Plan and other recommendations for the Roosevelt Road Corridor. June 7, 2013: The Steering Committees for the Roosevelt Road and Lake Street Corridors met to review the Corridor Policies, Principles & Framework Plan Reports, which included a vision statement, corridor goals and policies, development principles, framework plan, and intergovernmental cooperation principles for each corridor. The Steering Committee presentations for Roosevelt Road and Lake Street are available for download.

May 1, 2013: Revised versions of the Corridor Assessment Summary Reports for Roosevelt Road and Lake Street have been reposted and are available for download.

April 11, 2013: The Steering Committees for the Roosevelt Road and Lake Street Corridors met to review the Corridor Assessment Summary Reports, which included findings from existing conditions analyses of various issues such as land use, zoning, transportation elements, environment, development, annexation, and market conditions. The Corridor Assessment Summary Reports for Roosevelt Road and Lake Street are available for download. The Steering Committee presentations for Roosevelt Road and Lake Street are also available for download.

March 12, 2013: Get involved in the project by providing your thoughts and ideas on the Roosevelt Road and Lake Street Corridors on the Comment Maps feature. The Comment Maps allow you to share your own comments, ideas, or concerns in visual form on a dynamic Google Map. Your comments will help guide the County and local communities in their planning efforts for unincorporated areas along the two corridors.
